If you've been around kaylie you know she doesn't talk much. She is sweet, adorable, laughs, and will make anyone smile. But she only has a few words. She goes to speech once a week and has been since the beginning of the summer. They have called it speech apraxia. They said for some reason her brain has a hard time telling her mouth how to make certain sounds. They said she will be fine but right now it is a lot of work for her to say words. She will probably just start talking in full sentences when she does. She got her first tooth at 17 months with a mouthful right behind it, and walked at 19 months and just walked right across the room like she'd been walking for ever. So I guess her speech will be no different. Some people have asked me why she doesn't say much and I know others have wondered so I thought I'd give a little update. She will be fine she will just talk on her own time. And she started preschool last week so that will help a ton.
So today she said cupcake!! Every word she says we say yayyyyy and clapp and jump up and down and are so excited. So of course I had to make her some cupcakes for saying it. Oh and she also says chocolate and donut. At least she knows the important words.

It didn't feel right sharing a picture today. On this horrible day 10 years ago so many people lost their moms, dads, brothers, sisters, children, friends. I will remember this day and always keep these families in my heart. Because I know now how it feels to lose one of the people that you loved the most. and it might not hurt so awfully bad still but is still very hard and a year or 10 doesn't make losing someone any easier.

Today was kaylie's 1st day at preschool!! I got a little tearful when we walked into the school but was ok by the time we got to her classroom. She stood there at the door looking at me like "what are we doing?" But she never cried. Then she went into the classroom, she did try to run out but went right back in. The teacher said she had a great day of playing and painting. They said she did point outside her class and said lala. She knew her big sister was right down the hall. Then we went to lunch while we waited on big sister to finish school. I didn't understand one single word, but she was so excited and was telling me all about her day. A blah ahd gdkjdls dada babab ooo kaywee pway. Awaahhh baaa.

Todays pictures are of my mom from after I had lauren. Today would have been her birthday. She loved lauren and kaylie and I'm so glad she got to see each of them. I wish she could see them both growing now. A lot of times when they do something cute or funny, my first thought is still...i wish my mom could see this. But I know she see's those moments and so many more. I just wish she could be here to enjoy them with us.
